The HRIS Workday Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of the Workday system, overseeing system administration, data management, and user support. By managing external service providers and collaborating with internal stakeholders, they ensure the delivery of high-quality HRIS services, driving operational efficiency, data integrity, and user satisfaction, thus enabling the organization to make informed decisions and achieve strategic objectives effectively.

Department: Human Resources
Responsibilities System Administration: Oversee the administration of the Workday system, including configuration, security, and user access management. Lead the implementation of system releases and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations. Administer routine processes such as performance management and merit increase cycles.
Partnership and Supervision: Manage the relationship with external service providers and oversee the performance of external analysts. Ensure the delivery of outsourced services according to the service level agreements, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics. Collaborate with external analysts to improve the performance and quality of HRIS team services.
Customization and Development: Evaluate system functionality to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Lead the configuration, testing, and documentation of system enhancements and customizations to streamline HR processes and enhance system efficiency.
Data Management: Establish and maintain data quality standards within the Workday system. Conduct regular data audits and manage data migration activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Collaborate with stakeholders to address any data-related issues or discrepancies.
User Support: Provide expert-level support to users, troubleshooting issues and assisting them in effectively utilizing Workday functionalities. Develop and deliver user training sessions to promote system proficiency and adoption.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to meet evolving data and reporting needs. Utilize analytics to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to Workday enhancements and updates. Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders, ensuring understanding and buy-in. Facilitate smooth transitions and user adoption of new system functionalities.
Decision making The HRIS Workday Manager has decision-making authority in the areas of system configuration, customization, data management, and the prioritization of enhancements and updates. They have the responsibility to make decisions related to system administration, user support, and data integrity. In collaboration with HR, Legal and IT, they make decisions regarding system security.

Communicate Effectively : Possesses excellent communication skills (written and verbal), capable of conveying complex processes, problems, and solutions in a simple, compelling, and accurate manner. Leads communication efforts with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Drive Results : Sets high standards for system performance and consistently strives to achieve and exceed them. Proactively addresses system issues and implements solutions in a timely manner. Drives resource allocation and project prioritization to effectively manage multiple, often competing project workloads.
Optimizes Work Processes : Takes initiatives in identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes through system optimization. Regularly assesses and refines work processes, leading continuous improvement efforts to maximize efficiency and user satisfaction. Proactively drives initiatives to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Proven in-depth expertise in Workday modules including Core HCM, Absence, Time-Off, Advanced Compensation, Talent & Performance, and Recruiting.
Proficient in creating and modifying Workday business processes, security configurations, reports, calculated fields, and custom objects to meet business requirements.
Familiarity with Workday integrations
Must have a strong working knowledge of HR policies, practices, and processes to effectively align system configurations with organizational needs.
Ideally holding a Workday Pro accreditation or certification, demonstrating advanced proficiency in Workday functionality and best practices.
Proven track record of successful project delivery, including planning, execution, and implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting stakeholder expectations.
Position Requirements Education: University Degree required, prefer in Human Resources, Information Technology or similar
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as HRIS Specialist, minimum 3 years with Workday
IT Skills: Strong IT skills and proficiency in HRIS, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office
Language Skills: Verbal and written fluency in English
Working arrangements: minimum 3 days a week in the office
Traveling required: Occasional travel to other sites may be required
