Senior Data Engineer

At Inscale (Permanent), in Lisbon, Portugal Expires at: 2024-07-01 Remote policy: Partial remote We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer/Developer, who can help us not only deliver our BI and DWH solutions but also build up our best practices, mentor more junior developers and drive a technical community of BI/DWH engineers. Your key responsibilities will include:   Design, develop and maintain data streams and pipelines in Azure Databricks. Design and build data models and marts to store data for optimal readability and performance.  Develop and maintain Power BI datasets and dataflows.  Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI.  Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.  Translate business needs to technical specifications. Your assignments can include:      Build a new logistics data mart with complex KPI definitions. Design and develop a generic transformation pipeline in Spark SQL/PySpark to populate a data mart.  Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert data to meaningful insights.   Main requirements +5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data developer, DWH Developer or in similar roles. Wide understanding of Data Warehouse and BI methodologies and concepts. Experience in building enterprise-wide data models. Experience with Phyton and SQL.  Proficient in Spark (Databricks). Fluency in English. Nice to have • Practical knowledge of Git and CI/CD  • Good understanding of industry trends and methodologies used in the Cloud environment (Azure ideally)  • PowerBi  • Kafka
