Xstore DeveloperRole overviewThe Development Consultant (XStore) is responsible for providing software technical product knowledge and retail industry knowledge in order to facilitate successful enhancement of our Stores projects. The successful candidate will have experience XStore/Micros/Stores functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review and conduct information systems needs assessment and recommend appropriate infrastructure solutionDesign and implement applications and enhancements using JAVA codeMaintain and enhance applications per client requestAssist with defining and implementing regression test suitesFrequently analyze and define client data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirementsTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsEstablish and monitor systems support and development in a Micros environmentPerform application enhancements and modifications, while mentoring and teaching other consultantsFacilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues as neededParticipate in supporting production environment as necessaryRegularly assist in the definition of implementation and integration alternativesIntermittently perform go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teamsOften provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3 rd party vendors (hardware, software, etc) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or 3+ years of related experiencePrior to Micros/Stores/POS implementation experience3+ years development and/or systems integration experience preferred3+ years in the Retail industry or an associated Retail IT field preferredPrevious consulting experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
