Who You Are: A seasoned leader with a proven track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing R&D teams (including experience managing Group Managers). You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and a passion for fostering a culture of innovation and relentless execution. Experience leading geographically dispersed teams especially across Eastern Europe. You're a strategic thinker who can translate business goals into a clear and actionable R&D roadmap, ensuring alignment with the CEO and executive team. What You'll Do: Define and execute Payset's long-term R&D strategy, driving the development of cutting-edge solutions for our global business clients. Assess talent, identify skill gaps, and orchestrate a recruitment, development, and performance optimization program. Foster a collaborative and high-performing R&D culture that thrives on innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Champion agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and best practices to ensure efficient and high-quality software development. Partner with product, marketing, and operations to ensure R&D efforts are well-aligned with overall business objectives. Oversee project management, resource allocation, and budget control to deliver projects on time and within budget. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven track record R&D leadership of at least 12 years of leading and scaling engineers in software products Extensive experience in managing teams and strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic R&D roadmaps aligned with business goals. In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices in software development. Experience managing geographically dispersed teams Experience working in a cross-functional environment and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Passion for FinTech and a desire to disrupt the traditional financial landscape.
