The Role: We are seeking a Tax Specialist to join our team, and report directly to the Senior Tax Manager.
The Tax Specialist is responsible for preparing tax returns and work papers, organising tax payments and tax accounts reconciliations, providing support to the business, and responding to Tax Authorities' queries, tax audits, internal requests, and supporting projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collection, preparation, and analysis of financial data, legal documents, and other relevant info required for local tax filings/tax audits and any other statutory requirementsPreparing tax returns, schedules, and work-papersProvide/prepare documents supporting the transactional dataPrepare tax reconciliations, including monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations before the return is filedCompletion of tax tools as part of preparation and review of provision and complianceUpload/submit the final tax return and support to the tax compliance tracking systemAssist with all tax operational matters and identify any compliance issues. Advancing matters to the Senior Tax Manager for advice and resolutionProvide audit support and responses as requiredDevelop and maintain desktop procedures and process flowsGive to continuous process improvementsIncrease issues and feedback from local EntitiesSpecific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in Tax, accounting, management or equivalent At least 2 years of experience of working in Tax, within a complex and large volume environment A committed team playerBe credible and self-motivatedStrong organisation and time managementAttention to detail and accuracyFully proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookKnowledge of ERP systems, processes and workflow technologyOperated in sophisticated environment with the same size and scaleKnowledge of European VAT regulations and requirementsKnowledge of other jurisdictions outside EU regulations and requirements is a plusExperience in working in a in a similar industry, as well as in a shared service environment is a plusOur Offer: This is an excellent opportunity to work in a truly multicultural environment and get involved in all phases of the global project lifecycle.
