Step into the heart of MIKUTA's operations as our Senior Purchasing Manager at our production office in Guimarães! We're searching for a dedicated leader to drive our procurement efforts and elevate the MIKUTA experience for our customers.
The MIKUTA brand was founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens White, starting in 2017 with a small jewellery line, which later expanded to clothing in 2019. MIKUTA is a young, wild & free-inspired fashion brand for modern women with a glimpse of rock'n'roll. MIKUTA is currently one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands in the fashion market.
Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal. We are currently working with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Collection cycles and soon grow to a product portfolio of more than 300 products.
In this dynamic environment, characterized by rapid growth and operational challenges, we're eager to enhance our procurement strategies and refine our ability to forecast future demand accurately.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our procurement strategy and ensuring the seamless flow of resources for MIKUTA. From establishing supplier relationships to optimizing inventory levels and managing purchasing processes, you'll lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and meet the demands of our growing product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business objectives and support company growth
Identify and qualify reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and terms
Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages or excess
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, marketing, and logistics, to coordinate purchasing activities and streamline processes
Implement systems and tools for efficient procurement management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management preferred, with a strong understanding of purchasing principles and practices
Passion for optimizing processes and driving efficiencies within the procurement function
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to support purchasing strategies
Adaptable and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to embrace change and new challenges
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Proficiency in Portuguese & English is required; additional language skills are advantageous
