Responsibilities:
• Designing and executing critical engineering projects.
• Maintaining transparent communication throughout all stages of the product development lifecycle regarding ongoing and upcoming tasks.
• Crafting high-quality code and conducting thorough testing.
• Implementing features as per the roadmap.
• Creating APIs for utilization in both frontend and mobile applications.
• Continuously enhancing software quality through innovation and performance optimization efforts.
• Reviewing pull requests from team members to conduct constructive code reviews.
• Actively contributing to teammates' work through code reviews and design discussions to improve the team's shared understanding of our systems and enhance our technology.
• Leading discussions and achieving alignment with team members and stakeholders regarding the approach to your work.
• Promoting best practices across the team and in your work, and assisting others in balancing the tradeoffs between best practices and pragmatism.
• Effectively leading complex technical projects, delivering efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions
• Identifying and advocating for foundational work that can support work across the platform, foster workflow improvements, and create a substantial impact on the company.Main requirements• Knowledge of the Italian language at least at a conversational level (C2 level- should be able to read, write, and speak) is mandatory.
• Experience in working with complex systems is essential.
• A minimum of 8 years of programming experience is required.
• Preferably, 4+ years of commercial PHP experience, with emphasis on recent years, is preferred.
• Proficiency in Symfony is a must.
• Experience with REST API architecture, designs, and implementation is required.
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability in top-notch software engineering and experience in designing and building
RESTful, performant services are essential.
• Proficiency in breaking down large, complicated technical projects into clear stages and
deliverables across multiple platforms is crucial.
• A strong history of cross-functional collaboration is required.
• Expertise in large system design, database performance, and handling large datasets is essential.
• Experience in building, enhancing, and maintaining large-scale APIs, with particular attention to
PHP is advantageous.
• Fluent understanding and incorporation of engineering best practices such as testability into
designs and execution is necessary.
• A track record of contributing to product and business direction, collaborating across different
teams, and delivering pragmatic solutions that meet expectations is essential.
• A thorough understanding of development best practices such as SOLID, DRY, KISS, design patterns,
and object design is necessary.
• Experience with testing code (unit, integration, functional) is essential.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications is required.
• Good knowledge of MySQL or MongoDB is preferred.
• Proficiency in GitHub/GitLab is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication skills are essential.
• Fluency in English is required.Nice to have• Working experience with another programming language such as Go or Python is advantageous.
