Position SummaryAs a Senior Global Process Design and Automation Engineer, you will be part of a new team in Braga, Portugal; responsible for machine's hardware and software development to supply globally Aptiv factories. Your main responsibility will be designing the mechanical part of our equipment that will be used to assemble and/or test our active safety products that will make our cars safer and keep savings lives. Your RoleProvide mechanical designs for equipment and controls development projects for Aptiv product programs globallyCreate design print packages and Bill Of Material for supplier sourcing and subsequent buildsUnderstand equipment Standard of work to help clarify requirements and develop conceptsSupport manufacturing location installation efforts, site debug, and product validation readinessSupport manufacturing location equipment related issues remotely as well as follow up site visits as neededYour BackgroundBachelor's degree in engineering or technology field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in 3D CAD (mechanical designer) and/or AutoCAD (mechanical or test designer) with a good knowledge about automation and systems integrations. Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading- functional teams. Strong analytical and- solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently and adapt to a- paced, dynamic environment.
