The Global Insights & Analytics team at Olympus Corporation helps define and lead the transformation towards becoming a global, data-driven MedTech company with the help of data and modern data technologies (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning).

Olympus is now looking for seasoned "Senior Data Solutions and Cloud Architects / Engineers", reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics Platform.
Together with teams of Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, DevOps and MLOps experts as well as data scientists and business users, the Senior Data Solutions and Cloud Architects/Engineers will develop, run and continuously refine an easy-to-use, modern and lean/cost-effective cloud-based Data & Analytics environment for Olympus world-wide.
The "Senior Global Data Solutions and Cloud Architects / Engineers" will also help business leverage modern data-technologies by building tailored data solutions and helping integrating them into their processes and way of working.
Your responsibilitiesShare responsibility for business impact and timely delivery of prioritized Data and (Advanced) Analytics solutions in collaboration with business owners, subject matter experts, data scientists and (Advanced) Analytics product owners.Define and build company-wide frameworks and libraries that will enable faster, better and more informed decision-making within the business and help create business value out of Data & (Advanced) Analytics.Plan and deliver secure, good practice data integration strategies and approachesHelp ensure data availability and accessibility for prioritized Data and (Advanced) Analytics scope as well as stable, scalable, and modular data science pipelines from data exploration, training, development, and deploymentWork with key stakeholders within the company to help model their data landscape, obtain data extracts, and define secure data exchange approachesAcquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into our cloud platform (Azure). Create and manage data environments in the Cloud.Collaborate with our data and data scientist teams to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models.Have a strong understanding of Information Security, Cyber Security and Data Privacy principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data, including access strategies.Ability to define and build smart automation based on modern cloud technologies, based on business priorities and needs.Acts as main interface and key collaboration partner with other data and cloud-related activitiesMaster in relevant field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering)At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience, ideally in Pharma/Medtech / Healthcare environmentProven ability to work across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, extracting information and identifying linkages across disparate data setsStrong experience in multiple database technologies such as: Distributed Processing (Spark, Hadoop, EMR) Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) MPP (AWS Redshift, Teradata) NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan)Strong understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of dataStrong experience and interest in Cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and all its services and ecosystemStrong experience in traditional data warehousing / ETL toolsProficiency in architecting, building and maintaining cost-efficient and scalable cloud environmentsAbility to write infrastructure as code using e.g., CloudFormation or similar (Terraform).Ability to understand business and create cloud-based solutions to fill those objectivesResult-driven, be an analytical and creative thinkerAbility to work with cross-functional teams and bring business and data science closer together - consultancy experience a plusFluency in English a must, additional languages a plusGlobal positionWork in a multicultural and diverse environmentReferral commissionMedical Health InsuranceInitial and continuous training24 vacation days offDay off on your birthdayChristmas Eve offAbout Olympus CorporateThe Corporate Division is responsible for centralized functions that include Finance and Controlling, HR, IT, Quality Management and Supply Chain Management.
