We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to start immediately or as soon as available.Senior Financial AccountantAs a Senior Financial Accountant, you play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the group companies' financial records. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that transactions are properly recorded, classified, and summarized in the general ledger. By adhering to accounting principles and best practices, you contribute to the preparation of reliable financial statements in a regular timely fashion and support informed decision-making by management.Your responsibilitiesManagement of all overall general and sub subledger accounting (including revenue, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset and intangible asset register)Maintaining the chart of accounts to ensure appropriate reporting - both from a legal and business perspectiveTimely compilation of monthly and annual Financial Reports and statutory financial statementsManagement of external accounting service providers in Switzerland and PortugalEnsuring compliance with internal and external accounting policies and governance requirements.Continuous optimization and automation of regular processes to ensure the scalability of function (increased volume with the same resource pool)Recording financial transactions in general ledger using appropriate accounting codes and classifications in accordance with internal and external guidelines.Recording cash and credit card transactions.Consolidate the group accounts consisting of the Swiss and Portuguese entities.Prepare the monthly closing and financial reporting packages of DSwissCoordination of official declarations (e.g. VAT, income taxes) with external advisers.Support yearly statutory audit documentationActive management and development external financial providers in Portugal and SwitzerlandWhat are your assetsExperienced professional with approx. 5 years track record in accounting function in an international environmentBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are desirable.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices combined with the ability and willingness to continuously learn and improve as accounting professional.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Interest to understand specifics of our SaaS business.Open minded, curious personality with an appetite for improving processes.Persistent and results oriented character.Proficient in MS Office SuiteSolid knowledge of financial and accounting principlesVery good level of written and spoken English is a must (German skill are a plus)Occasional Travel to SwitzerlandWe offerDSwiss is a socially competent and innovative team with open-door mentality.Personal responsibility, independence and the possibility to create value.Develop, learn and contribute within a highly talented and experienced team.Based in Lisbon with occasional travel to Switzerland.Attractive terms and conditions, including a hybrid work model in Lisbon city center.25 days of vacation.Access to health insurance and additional perks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
