Responsibilities:Lead and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend systems and APIs.Architect and implement scalable and high-performance solutions, optimizing for speed, reliability, and security.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure seamless integration of backend components with frontend and data systems.Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, to deliver projects on time and within scope.Drive innovation by proposing and implementing new technologies and approaches to enhance backend functionality and efficiency.Act as a technical expert and provide guidance on best practices and architectural decisions.Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a senior-level backend developer, with a minimum of 3 years in backend development.Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or Node.js. (pref Python)Extensive experience with backend frameworks, libraries, and technologies such as Django, Spring Boot, Express.js (pref. Django)Proficiency in working with databases, both relational and NoSQL.Thorough understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Proven ability to architect, develop, and maintain complex backend systems.Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and other team members.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.Nice to have:Awareness of relevant compliance standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) in healthcare or related fields.Leadership qualities, including mentorship and guidance for junior developers.Eagerness to stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development.Benefits & culture:At Kinetikos Health, we value our employees and strive to provide a supportive and fulfilling work environment.
