In addition, we have built a unique AI insurance validation model making mandatory insurance check at candidate onboarding instant and to offer workers fit for purpose insurance when they don't have sufficient cover, and to capture valuable data for underwriting purpose. Jove is licensed as an insurance agent & MGA across UK, Europe and all 50 states in the US. Our AI validation model has been embedded into large ATS platforms such as Bullhorn, Mercury and Deel, with more than half of the global ATS/ HRIS platforms signing the partnership contract. Furthermore, the products from our MGA line can be offered to thousands of agencies and brokers to distribute across UK and Europe through a digital portal. You'll be one of the early employees when we scale our business and revolutionize the insurance industry for contractors and SMEs. Our tech stack : TypeScript, React, React Native, Python, Ruby, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud The Role As the senior back-end Engineer, you will be working with a small team of frontend and backend developers. You will be very product-focused and play a hands-on role in shaping the product directly with the founders; working very closely with the CTO. Key Responsibilities: Build and develop a software development team whilst performing challenging hands on development Develop Jove's AI insurance validation model backend alongside of our CTO using Open AI Develop and support external API integration with other platforms and ATS systems such as Bullhorn, Vincere, Access and Mercury Build email system based on validation status Work with frontend engineers to integrate backend end points with frontend UI Testing and bug fixing Research and development of using other AI model for insurance validation such as Google Bard Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies Main requirements What we're looking for Must haves: You must be experienced in back-end development, especially Python and Postgres with at least 5-8 years of experience Experience in building external API and integration with other platforms Experience in using Open AI in commercial applications Good knowledge in Google Cloud deployment Excellent communicator and a team player Nice to have Bonus skills: Basic experience in React Experience in working with recruitment application tracking systems such as Bullhorn, Vincere and Mercury Domain knowledge of insurtech or fintech Benefits & Perks What we're offering The chance to join a close-knit team on an exciting scaling stage A workstation of your choice 25 days off per year A generous pool of stock options
