Guala Closures Group , a multinational company founded in Italy in 1954, is an international leader in the production of aluminium/plastic and wooden closures for spirits, wine, oil and condiments, water and beverages.It operates in 5 continents with 30 production sites and a commercial structure present in over 100 countries.We're offering an excellent opportunity in a challenging environment!For our plant in Portugal we are currently looking for a Quality Manager.Main Responsibilities:Implementing quality assurance strategies, processes, systems, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability of manufactured products.Leading the development and implementation of corrective action and preventive measures to achieve quality targets.Addressing trends with internal and external non-conformance.Reviewing reports and confers with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve quality issuesQualifications & Experience required:High School or University Degree (preferred) in chemical Engineering;At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in the cork industry;Experience in making reports, data sheets and follow-up control records in the production.Knowledge of ISO standardsTop Candidates will also haveExcellent communication skillsEnglish language proficiency;Comprehensive knowledge of the cork industry; its products and services; its internal systems, processes, and procedures; and a general understanding of customers, competitors, and market influencers.Skills in continuous improvement tools and operational efficiency;Capacity for organization and planning;Detail-oriented;Analytical ability;Initiative and proactivity;Critical thinkingLocation: PortugalWe encourage candidates from all gender identities, age groups, and nationalities to apply for this position.
