Overview of role: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Post Harvest Coordinator. The Post Harvest Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the post-harvest process, ensuring a solid intermediate & stabilization product process, monitor the inventory, a quality control along the process and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities: Intermediate Product Process: Develop and implement processes and workflows intermediate product processing; ensure proper handling, tracking and documentation of cannabis products throughout the processing stages; collaborate with cultivation team to coordinate the timely transfer of materials to post-harvest; monitor and control processing parameters to maintain product quality and efficiency; address any issues or deviations from quality standards promptly. Drying Room & Stabilization Process Management: Oversee the stabilization process of post-trimmed cannabis products, ensuring proper drying, curing or other required procedures; monitor and control environmental conditions (e.g. temperature, humidity) during stabilization to optimize product characteristics; also support on harvest duties, when needed. Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all harvested products meet established standards for appearance, aroma, potency, and safety; collaborate with quality assurance team to conduct inspections and testing of stabilized products. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and track the movement of harvested products throughout the post-harvest process; coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate supply and timely delivery of products; maintain accurate records of product quantities, batch numbers, etc. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing post-harvest operations, including but not limited to health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and environmental guidelines. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in a related field is a plus; Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., cannabis, food production); Knowledge of cannabis strains, characteristics and quality control standards; Familiarity with cannabis tools and processing equipment; Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
