We are looking for an HSE Manager to oversee a Turnaround project's health, safety, and environmental protocols. You will focus on the maintenance and overhaul of furnaces at a major industrial refinery.

Tasks & responsibilities:
Assist in follow-up meetings to ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.Review and prepare accident and incident reports, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Control work permits to guarantee safe and efficient operations.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to identify potential hazards.Perform safety audits for subcontractors involved in the project, ensuring adherence to safety standards.Prepare comprehensive reports on HSE performance and progress.Manage the Safety Database to track incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.Conduct atmosphere-level measurements in classified areas to mitigate risks.Coordinate and resolve interferences between subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment.Plan daily meetings with subcontractor staff and safety supervision to address concerns and implement safety measures effectively.Review procedures, work methods, work method statements, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to optimise safety protocols.Provide training to subcontractors and suppliers on safety procedures and best practices.Monitor leading and lagging indicators to assess HSE performance and identify areas for improvement.Requirements Manager HSEPrevious experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the industrial or petrochemical sector.Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing safety programs and initiatives.Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus!Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are desirable.
