Technical Knowledge and SkillsAdvanced understanding of product development processes and methodologies for the industrial segment (industrial coatings, adhesive & sealants)Advanced experience in leading and managing global technical teams and laboratory requirementsIntermediate awareness of regulatory guidelines and restrictions for new product developmentIntermediate project management skills to drive product development projects through to completion with ability of assessing and mitigating risks.Position RequirementsEducation: A degree in chemistry, preferably Master of Science or Ph.D. Relevant areas are Organic chemistry, Polymer chemistry, Physical chemistry,Experience: 10+ years of practical experience of industrial coating formulation and customer collaboration. 5+ years leading R&D teams.Additional experience in adhesive & sealants formulation and testing is desirable. Experience in polymer synthesis is desirable but not required.IT Skills: Microsoft Office, Presentation software, Project management software, Salesforce, JDE, Experimental designLanguage Skills: fluent in spoken and written English , second language is beneficial (apart from Portuguese)Working arrangements: Minimum 3 days per week in the office, 5 days for lab positionTraveling required: 25- 35% of travel required
