We're revolutionaries – so for us changing the way the world works is all in a day's work.Smartsheet is looking for a Manager, Commercial Security Solutions Engineering to manage, lead, and develop a team of skilled Security Solutions Engineers who play a key role in the technical sales process by specializing in cybersecurity. In this role, you will partner directly with Sales and Solutions Engineering leadership to deliver on strategies for revenue growth and quota attainment. You will be a leader within the Solutions Engineering organization that is on a mission to grow revenue and to empower anyone to drive meaningful change — for themselves, their businesses, and the world.This role is part of the Worldwide Field Operations team and is based remotely on the X coast. You will report to the Director of Solutions Engineering Operations.You Will:Hire, manage and develop a team of Security Solutions Engineers who lead technical sales engagements, provide security information and guidance as the Smartsheet subject matter expert to prospects, as well as current enterprise usersPartner with Sales Leadership to set and deliver on strategies for revenue growth, quota attainment, and learning opportunities for the sales organizationCollaborate with sales, product, customer success, and professional services teams to provide the best customer experience (evaluation, purchase, delivery, and deployment of Smartsheet)Align and prioritize your team's workloads and development opportunities, providing regular skill coaching and feedbackBuild, optimize and scale career development tracks that enable employees to become experts in Smartsheet security and the cybersecurity industryEnsure the sustained high performance of your team by eliminating hurdles, fostering a secure work environment, and inspiring and mentoring team members to foster their personal growthSponsor and participate in organization wide projects and programs to drive efficiency, capability, and collaborationProvide technical leadership and product expertise to the team and the larger sales organizationBecome a cybersecurity subject matter expert for Smartsheet, including front-end, back-end, and application layer securityPartner with internal Risk & Governance, Information Security, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering teams and leaders to maintain a close working relationshipYou Have:2+ years of experience as a Manager for a Solutions or Sales Engineering team, Solution Architect team, Information Security, Technical Support, or related field in the SaaS and enterprise software industry5+ years of pre-sales experience in SaaS or enterprise softwareFamiliarity with SOC2 report formats and existing generally accepted security baselines and standards (e.g. FedRAMP, ISO, PCI, OWASP, HIPAA, etc)Currently have or are working towards CISSP/CISA or GIAC GSECNice to have in addition: Security+, CCSP/CCSK, SSCP, or other industry certificationsStrong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, coach and develop a team of Solutions EngineersExperience collaborating cross-functionallyCritical thinking skills, a growth mindset, and experience analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing complex problemsStrong technical skills and comfort working in ambiguous and high-pressure situationsExperience selling a multipurpose product applicable to multiple lines of business or industriesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesFamiliarity with project management methodologies and productsRelentless curiosity and a commitment to excellenceHSA, 100% employer-paid premiums, or buy-up medical/vision and dental coverage options for full-time employeesEquity - Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for eligible rolesLucrative Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount)401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)Monthly stipend to support your work and productivityUS employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plansUS employees receive 12 paid holidays per yearUp to 24 weeks of Parental LeavePersonal paid Volunteer Day to support our communityOpportunities for professional growth and development including access to LinkedIn Learning online coursesCompany Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet accountTeleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)Smartsheet provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from.
