To support our growth, we are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our People& Culture team in Portugal or Spain.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation. Develop, implement, and manage corporate policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance across all departments. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively identify potential legal risks or issues that may impact the company's operations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Manage external legal resources, including outside counsel, and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes when necessary. Conduct internal investigations as required and recommend appropriate actions to address any identified legal or compliance issues. Provide legal support and guidance on corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, and partnerships. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and compliance matters. Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may affect the company and ensure timely compliance, in cooperation with our internal regulatory experts and outside counsel, if needed Operate and lead a compliance culture across the organization internally and externally. Own and update policies such as code of conduct and whistleblowing. Required Skills: Strong background in law. You are a lawyer admitted to the Bar Able to manage time effectively across multiple matters to meet tight deadlines. I have a keen interest and passion in energy markets. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Fluency in English any additional language is a plus.
