We are looking for an Head of Operations Development (HOD) that leadsand manages all activities within the operations development department ofColoplast Manufacturing Portugal. This includes responsibility for IT/OTat the site, automation and other local technical-process developments,transfer- and other projects and the local tool shop. We are looking for an Head of Operations Development (HOD) that leadsand manages all activities within the operations development department ofColoplast Manufacturing Portugal. This includes responsibility for IT/OTat the site, automation and other local technical-process developments,transfer- and other projects and the local tool shop.
- Drive the establishment of a new technical department implementing all required processes and working closely with relevant manufacturing sites and global functions;
- Ensure efficient transfer of production including knowledge transfer in close co-operation with the other manufacturing sites, global organizations, and the local teams;
- Ensure implementation of local IT solutions and hardware in close cooperation with Global IT, facility management and other stakeholders;
- Establish strong relations to and good collaboration with the site in Nyírbátor, Hungary where the production to be transferred is currently being done;
- Lead and manage the operations development department comprising specialists, technicians, and project managers with strong technical backgrounds;
- Implement automation and other technical improvements to the production equipment;
- Ensure a strong focus and prioritization of environmental, health and safety aspects throughout all activities of the department;
- Accountable for successful production transfers from other manufacturing sites.
- Relevant degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (B. Sc. or higher);
- 5 + years of previous experience as a Head of a technical department in manufacturing or related areas, preferably experience in start-up and ramping up a manufacturing site;
- Proven leadership skills of a technical organization;
- Experience with management of IT and OT technologies;
- ERP systems, MES systems, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- High level proficiency in oral and written Portuguese and English;
- Knowledge about ISO 9001.
