We're searching for a Groups and MICE Sales Manager in Lisbon to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.
You'd be at the sales-helm of our first Locke in Lisbon, Portugal, when it's most exciting, as we prepare to open our doors for the first time in the country. Reporting to the Head of Groups and MICE Sales, you'll take ownership of sales activity for Locke de Santa Joana for MICE agents and group clients, using your local knowledge and networking prowess to develop profitable, sustainable business.
A role less ordinary. The primary function of this role is to take responsibility for the strategy, planning and ongoing execution of sales activity for a portofolio of new and existing Groups and MICE clients on behalf of Locke de Santa Joana. You'll deliver optimal Groups and MICE revenue into key edyn properties from this defined portfolio of clients. In addition, you'll contribute to the development of all Groups and MICE sales enquiry processes and segment specific online and offline marketing collateral.  Actively seeking and winning new business in the realm of Groups and MICEGenerating, qualifying and following up on leads from MICE agents and Corporates through all relevant sourcesIncrease group volumes through a variety of segementsEnsure an understanding of the local Sales Plan for each key property, and understand the required sales mix per propertyConduct FAM trips, sales presentations, networking events and B2B marketingAssistat in securing and maintaining beneficial partnershops with key MICE / Groups AgenciesSecure base group business at property levelAccount management; you'll be responsible for sales and service across a designated portfolio of existing clientsConduct regular client review meetings to ensure each relationship is successfully maintainedComplete all internal processes to ensure each account is correctly set up within edynEnsure excellent knowledge of company network and key locations, attending training events where approproate and developing a good knowledge of the business travel industryWho you are. The successful candidate for this role will be able to easily establish, influence, build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in Corporate and Agency organisations to negotiate and develop profitable and sustainable brands.  Portuguese speaking and writing is a must, as well as English conversational and writing skillsFamiliarity with local Lisbon Groups and MICE agents in particular, and similar agents in Portugal in generalNext-level communication skills, with no-nonsense commerical awareness and a brain built for problem-solvingHospitality sales and account management experience in LisbonCompetence in Word, PowerPoint and ExcelLocal knowledge and contacts in LisbonDemonstrable understanding of Locke's business and brandInnate customer service skills, with a determination to deliver on targetsImpeccable planning and organisationWhy grow with edyn?
