Engineer | Aircraft Design

We are an Engineering and Product Development Center that conceives, develops, and productizes new technologies, products and services towards a more sustainable society.We work by bridging together cities, industry and universities around large programs of development and industrialization of products and services, from Portugal, in high-tech sectors such as mobility, aeronautics and space.This opportunity for an Engineer | Aircraft Design (m/f/d) will be integrated into the Aeronautics team.Design for manufacturing of 3D CAD models (composite or metallic materials)Evaluate inputs to ensure an adequate selection of materials, treatments and production techniques for each applicationAdherence to product configuration rulesGenerate Bill of Materials in support of the production and purchasing/logistics processReduce overall costs by applying a lean philosophy to processes and choice of design solutionsIdentify issues and propose/develop improvements to meet established requirements, targets, or to solve problemsEnsure the compliance with project requirements and quality processesProvide the manager with any requested information for planning, execution or control of technical activities such as: The activities' plan definition and the reporting and tracking of project tasks' statusProvide work estimates and projectionsAlert to potential problems, deviations and needsDevelop CAD models in support of testing and certification activitiesContribute towards the creation of project reports and any other relevant certification documentationMSc in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanics or equivalentProven experience in the development of components/productsPrevious experience working with CAD software (CATIA, Siemens Nx, Solidworks), MSOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar toolsGood knowledge of structural sizing analyses' techniques and conceptsGood knowledge of materials and production techniquesGood interpersonal skills to work within a diverse team, in rigorous and demanding projects, where analytical and critical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills are essential• Working in a relaxed and positive environment alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team• We facilitate and promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle, articulating work with the personal life• Health insurance• Partnerships with gyms, amongst others• Three additional vacation days• Birthday off#J-18808-Ljbffr
