We're looking to bring onboard a Chief Technology Officer to represent the Engineering and Technology departments across Horizons.Your backgroundProven experience in a similar position.Experience leading an engineering team in a rapidly growing business - setting up and developing best practices to align with the company's growth.Experience working in fintech, HR or payroll is a plus.Your personalityYou are a confident and effective communicator, able to tailor format and content based on your audienceYou have a proven ability to challenge, influence, and do things differently with positive business benefitsYou know how to deal with ambiguity and are able to navigate through it with perseverance, and with a positive attitudeYou're a results-driven coach who supports, develops, and inspires others to excelYou're pragmatic and results-oriented – able to take ownership and execute on tasks as well as able to delegate projectsWhat You'll OwnAs the CTO at Horizons, your responsibilities will include:Technology & InnovationWork with the engineering director and team, product, design, and other stakeholders to build new, exceptional product features and improvements for our customers, while maintaining the quality and experience of our existing product.Represent the technical and engineering functions at a business level to own roadmap planning, timeframes, and delivery cycles across the organization and inline with product launches and new releases.Lead the continuous evolution of our technical infrastructure and own the compliance certification process from the product, engineering, infrastructure, and security perspective.Leadership & People ManagementBuild and lead a high-performing engineering team function while empowering the team to achieve a high level of technical productivity and quality.Foster a strong feedback culture, where all team members are encouraged to challenge, and be challenged, on their opinions and beliefs in order to always optimize for the best possible outcome.Communication & Stakeholder ManagementHandle a variety of internal and external stakeholders including your engineering team, product teams, sales/growth teams, client, and leadership team to manage timeline, deliverables, and expectations.Help drive the business at a company level representing the technical and engineering functions across the business, C-suite, and key stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
