Claire Joster is looking for a Crewing Manager / HR Generalist (m/f) to become an integral part of a maritime transport company.
Main responsabilities: Manages, coordinates, and reports on the activities of the Crewing Department and its dedicated team; Organize the crewing department and supervise the Crewing Officers including recruitment, contracting, training and career development; Overall responsibility for all personnel matters concerning seafaring staff, including supervision of payroll processes; Oversees payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing; Responsible for all Crewing process activities including seafarers' employment, compensation, welfare, training and development; Develops and implements welfare scheme; Supervises the Crew appraisal process in the office, nominate candidates for promotion based on favourable appraisals and recommendations; Monitors and presents KPI's related to the Crewing department; Coordinates and provides weekly reports on the Department's activities, progress and challenges; Collaborates with other departments, including finance and HR, to streamline payroll and personnel management processes. Requirements: Bachelor degree ou Master in Human Resources Management or similar; Minimum 10 years experience in the same role and in same/related industry; Solid experience in Crewing, regulations and vessels/Marines certifications; Proficient in English and Portuguese, French is a plus; Strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver clear instructions and constructive feedback; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in emergency-high pressure situations; Autonomous, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.
