We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator tools with the best team in the creator economy, and are looking for a Compliance Analyst to support our mission.This role is based in Porto and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.About the RoleAs an AML & Sanctions Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization against money laundering activities and ensuring our organization adheres to all relevant sanctions regulations and guidelines. You will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, implementing effective compliance measures, and reporting findings to stakeholders about the compliance program. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of AML and sanctions regimes.Key Responsibilities:Daily monitoring of AML and sanctions queues to analyze transactions, customer profiles, and counterparties to detect potential violations or suspicious activity;Stay abreast of changes in financial laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the organization's operations;Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and assess the severity of any identified issues;Perform enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers or counterparties to ensure compliance with our organization's standards;Provide guidance and reporting to stakeholders, including awareness of red flags and escalation procedures;Monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements as necessary to mitigate risks;Maintain accurate records of investigations, findings, and remedial actions taken;Assist in responding to inquiries and requests from regulatory agencies during audits or examinations.About YouA Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of work experience (AML, sanctions, or other compliance-related roles within the financial services or financial technology industry is a plus).Some understanding of financial regulatory principles and industry standards.Familiarity with risk management tools, compliance software, tools for sanctions screening or transaction monitoring.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound risk-based decisions.Exceptional attention to detail , organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) is a plus.About PatreonPatreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
