As part of our commitment to our employees' well-being, we provide a 35-hour workweek along with the option for a hybrid working schedule.The Team: The Claims function is seen as a valued business partner and plays a critical role in day to day management of our business, the direction of our business and with our brokers. This is not a traditional back office function. The main objective of this role is to support the Irish team in managing their Claims administration by providing an efficient, high quality administrative service. The Role: The Claims Administrator Ireland reports directly to the Ireland Claims Manager and plays a crucial role in driving the business towards its short and long-term goals. As part of the Ireland Claims team you have responsibility to act upon notifications received from brokers, claims underwriters, or policyholders, submitting those as new claims, or as attachments to existing claims. You also liaise with policy underwriters, assisting them in providing claims listings to brokers. You will work together with the team to drive consistent delivery of high level service and continually improve operational efficiency in order to achieve the performance goals for Claims teams. Key Responsibilities: Open a new "account" for each claim, into the system to help with efficient processing of the claim. Prepare the payment of claims and providers' invoices in the system. Support data cleansing and mass change processing projects. Liaising with internal and external parties to respond to and resolve queries within processing deadlines. General contact with brokers and clients always providing a great customer experience. Preparing management information reports as requested using various reporting tolls and methods. Participating and support the implementation in continuous improvement or change project work. Contributing to technical support and procedural best practice. Participating in project work focussed on harnessing efficienciesProviding support to other teams to cover absences and peak workloads. Person Specification: Fluent in English. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a member of various teams. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and quality to produce high quality output even when dealing with high volumes and under time pressure. Ability to organise and prioritise and plan workload to meet deadlines. Demonstrating personal integrity; doing what they say they'll do when they said they'd do it. Personable, able to develop rapport easily and build relationships across and outside Hiscox. Good Customer Focus. Flexible and expresses a "can-do" attitude. You will ideally have experience of working in an office environment, ideally in a multinational, multi lingual environment. This could include work experience as part of a training programme but is not essential. Evidence of an interest in a career in administration or insurance is required. You will need good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills.
