.ALTREFORME is the migratory event that will take place from April 30 until May 4, celebrating Arts, Multiculturalism, Sociality and Community!When: April 30 – May 4Deadline for applications: April 5An extension of a project conceived in 2023, this year it becomes one of the offspring projects of the ALTREFRONTIERE International Dance Festival. It aims to celebrate exchange and multiculturalism, bringing together diverse practices and artists from various nationalities.Despite the social need for Art to be present, the conditions for its dissemination are still often insufficient, depriving artists of the physical and economic support needed to publicise their work. Moreover, the evolution of our society is extremely subordinate to the advance of technology and – how can we fail to remember this – to the recents world events such as pandemics, wars and catastrophes, which have inevitably left a deep mark on our daily lives. Indirectly, the shift towards the digital realm, and with it towards comfort and optimisation, increasing the individualism already present in human beings and altering the importance of Sociality and Community.Under these pretexts, we therefore intend to create an open space that offers an opportunity for exchange and sharing, emphasising Sociality precisely in a city suffering the loss of "life" due to gentrification, reducing possible social occasions and confining them to the suburbs. We want to provide Lisbon residents with the chance to interact with a combination of artistic and social events, ensuring a place for everyone in a rich and wide-ranging cultural event.Dedicated to the theme of Rights – right to life, expression, labour… human rights – we want to celebrate our right to existence together!For five days, we plan to offer a unique experience, featuring a programme of artistic depth and quality with workshops, performances, concerts, exhibitions, screenings, markets, debates and much more.The event is scheduled take place from 30 April to 4 May 2024.We are launching open calls to bring together local and non-local artists of all kinds, promoting the international exchange of art – extending our own borders.We are seeking for proposals from various practices to create a rich and varied programme!The Open Call is open to artists, collectives and individuals, of all ages, cultures, provenances and backgrounds who are interested in taking part in the ALTREFORME week.We're looking for dance shows and workshop's proposals.Whatever the reason for your application, the central theme must be the Right.?For those living abroad, we will be able to accommodate a minimum of three people per day. Please note that travelling expenses and meals are the responsibility of the applicant.?For performing artists, there will be a minimum fee of 50 euros per person + one meal and three drinks on the night of the show
