The Role: We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team.
You will add value and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger and financial statements. This includes performing month-end activities, calculating and posting journals (including accruals), GL account reconciliations, reviewing and analysing the General Ledger.
Key responsibilities:
Perform general accounting support and month end tasksReview and analyse information from the general ledger and other accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness, and take corrective action, as appropriate Address audit enquiries / investigation Perform daily accounting tasks and the processing journal entriesExecute period-end accounting entries by posting manual journal entries and processing recharges (e.g., accruals, currency conversions, etc.)Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliationsSupport in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelinesSupport in the preparation of month-end and year-end close processesCarry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capabilitySupport with project related activitiesWho you'll be: To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in Accounting.
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required: BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant fieldProven experience as an accountantGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Strong financial, analytical and communication skillsSelf-organisation and time managementFull proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookKnowledge of ERP systems, processes and workflow technologyAbility to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlinesLanguage Skills: English
