This role sits at the heart of all key financial reporting, both externally and internally, and will work alongside our Finance Manager and Payroll Manager and report directly to the CFO and CEO. Responsibilities Act as subject matter expert in all aspects of accounting and taxesMaintain accounting records for BRIDGE IN and its customers on a daily basisEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsEnsure stakeholder's trust and the confidentiality of financial operationsPrepare month-end reporting for consolidation in multinational companiesPrepare VAT reporting and year-end corporate tax fillingsManage and control payroll-associated taxes, such as social security contributions and withholding taxesAnalyse trends, results, inconsistencies/issues, and gaps and be able to present findingsManage communication with Tax AuthoritiesAssist with financial forecasts and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvementSupport customer queries relating to accounting and taxesBe part of the panel to choose the new accounting ERPOwn and manage all financial data recorded on the company ERP – data integrity, performing monthly/annual reconciliations & auditsDefine and optimize processes to prepare for the company's further scalingRequirements Based in Portugal (or willing to relocate)Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of working experience with at least 3 years in Portuguese Accounting and Financial ReportingChartered accountant registered with the Portuguese Order of Certified AccountantsStrong understanding of Portuguese accounting principles and regulationsGood English and Portuguese oral and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving and highly analytical skillsBe deliberate, thorough, and rigorous when executing assignments. Attention to detail is paramountProficient with corporate productivity tools, including email, spreadsheets, accounting, and financial reporting software. This role owns all financial modeling, so Excel to an advanced level is mandatory.Experience interfacing with customersDeadline-driven with the ability to self-manage by prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively. This role oversees all the key processes leading to the monthly and annual resultsA can-do attitude and a team-first player. You will need to have the humility to roll your sleeves up at times and then move straight into a senior management meetingNice to have Experience in audit and accounting with a top-10 firm is nice to haveInternational experience either on a personal or professional levelPrevious experience in a consulting businessPrevious experience in a fast-growing businessExperience in accounts reporting and consolidation in multinational companiesKnowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standardsAbility to influence.
