Functional Safety Engineer With German (100% Remote, Long-Term Contract)

Position: Senior Functional Safety Engineer for Automotive with GermanRemote working policy: 100% remote, full-time contractorBudget: 80€+ Euro/hourThis is a remote position and we welcome applications from anywhere.Project description:Our customer is a leading automotive partner to a major German automotive brand and is in the process of taking over hundreds of software modules from its development subsidiaries. The project goal is to centralise the development of future software platforms which can be distributed to the subsidiaries for further customisation.Since all software modules are safety compliant, we need experienced Functional Safety Consultants to support combining the software components efficiently. Our team will analyse the safety requirements of the new system platform, investigate the legacy components provided by the development subsidiaries, and provide technical guidance on further platform development.Typical tasks list include, but is not limited to:SW Requirements break down into submodulesReview of Software functions, Test Specifications, Safety Case, etc.Train Method for Architecture Design, Suggest Tool (i.e. EA)Complete the Safety AnalysisBreak down SW Requirements into Functions and Sub-Level-Functions and SW componentsIdentify Safety Requirements in DoorsComplete Safety Analysis ReportQualifications You Need for this JobMinimum 6+ years of work experience as a FUSA engineer within the automotive industryAdvanced German languageExperience withISO 26262Experience working with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion)Experience with CAN, LIN, and UART serial communication systems preferredExperience with Software Quality Assurance and relevant processes such as SPICE, CMMI, or TS 16949: IAFT.Experience with at least one of the following domains: Navigation, Driver Assistance, Communication, Display, Vehicle Motion Energy, ADASWe Offer:100% fully remote, work-from-anywhere, positionFlexible work hoursCompany computerLong-term contractor contract - possible unlimited durationFull-time support from delivery and administration managersup to 600+ Euro/day budgetThis is a remote position and we welcome applications from anywhere.Sounds interesting?
