Data is our biggest asset, so you'll have to ensure its quality and integrity (privacy, business & legal rules, data flow) by centralizing data governance in close collaboration with IT and data owners (e.g digital, commercial, consumer experience). You'll ensure that KPI's definitions are consistent across the business. As reporting gatekeeper, you're the pivot within insights & analytics while prioritizing reporting needs & developments and ensuring the capacity to deploy consistent data products. Your 'day to day' DATA GOVERNANCE
• Engages directly with Data Owners to understand if current data needs are being supported appropriately and to discuss potential future data needs, including new data identification, changes to existing data, data access or data quality issues
• Works with Data Owners to establish data quality metrics related to the assigned data domain and proactively monitors data quality.
• Works with Data Owners to execute initiatives approved by the Data Governance Council and is engaged throughout the entire process, including user acceptance testing.
• Works with Data owners and stewards to hold them responsible for solving data quality issues in critical data elements. DATA QUALITY & SECURITY
• Ensure the Accuracy and Completeness of Information and track the Data Quality for critical data elements within the market / function.
• Creates the technical requirements that support the defined policies and standards.
• Partner with Security Manager to support data security needs. REPORTING GOVERNANCE
• Runs the reporting governance forum, collecting needs and prioritization both from Business Partners and business HoF's. DATA VISUALIZATION & CONSISTENCY
• Owns data as the single source of truth: coordinates business teams to set definitions and rules for key affiliate KPI's, ensures respective deployment across data products in order to display consistency. Creates the standard rules in terms of reporting visualization aiming superior UX (color schemes, formats). Ensures that reporting is streamlined and fits the purpose (monitors usage and impact). BI PRIORITIZATION
• Is the SPOC between the business and BI team, ensuring correct prioritization of critical developments needed in terms of data architecture. MANAGE BUDGET (when applicable)
• Secure the necessary funding to invest in data quality (3rd party data integration / treatment) ensuring proper budget control and allocation across the different data assets. If available, runs 3rd parties to develop data products, ensuring needs collection, project management, deployment, and budget control. Who we're looking for
• Bachelor degree or Master degree, preferably in Business and Administration / Economics, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Applied Mathematics
• Experience in data governance, process owner, or similar roles with knowledge and experience in both data and processes of related functional areas. Project management and coordination skills.
• Experience in Business analyst positions while developing data products and reporting solutions.
• Thorough hands-on understanding of a specific set of data elements, business processes, and market way of working
• Ability to perform issue detection and resolution.
• Ability to translate policies and standards into technical requirements.
• Ideally come from a business-aligned IT position
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving soft skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel), PowerBI, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese.
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit to work in Portugal.
