We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator who has a deep understanding of the Portuguese market and social media behavior to help build and evolve our social media presence.
By leveraging your social media expertise and passion, you will drive brand awareness, community development and engagement, as well as serve as the local language expert.
This is a dual-part operative role that will be charged with planning and executing creative social media marketing campaigns and also manage the coordination of the local Customer Service department.
Your outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to work within a small, highly entrepreneurial team setting, and positive attitude will have a large impact on HBO Portugal’s success.
Creating and executing content marketing plans that drive sales and subsequently managing, testing and evaluating campaigns; measuring, analyzing, and reporting on performance
Engaging and influencing HBO fans, customers, target groups and influencers
Creating copy and translations for ads, campaigns etc., as well as, serving as English master copy for select HBO Europe social media teams, to be used for cross-European campaigns
Communicating with our Customer Service Team on a daily basis to ensure that new and existing customers are provided with optimal service and that the team is well informed and educated on HBO products/offerings
Collaborating on cross-European campaigns with the Central Europe team
This role is based in Lisbon and reports directly to the Social Media Team Manager in Copenhagen.
You will work closely with the HBO Portugal Marketing team and the Cross-European Social Media Team.
To be successful in this role, we believe you will have 3-5 years of professional hands-on digital/social media experience with a solid track record of creating digital campaigns, leading content generation efforts, copy, managing social media tools and coordinating activities for a social community
Experience of the Portuguese TV/VOD/SVOD market a plus
Expertise in Portuguese social media trends and landscape, new marketing technologies and channels, and experience in data analytics
Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese
Bachelor or Masters in Marketing or other similar training
A strong interest in and knowledge of television and film, marketing, and digital trends
A creative passion for building brands in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment
Excellent communication/interpersonal with the ability to drive creativity and enthusiasm in other team members
Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach
