We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join one of our projects in Lisbon.
Location: Hybrid – Lisbon, Portugal Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases Configure and manage replication, failover, and clustering strategies Perform performance tuning, index optimization, and query analysis Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery procedures Ensure data integrity, availability, and security of all managed databases Plan and execute migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime Automate routine tasks using scripts and monitoring tools Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams Write and maintain comprehensive documentation Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Database Administration Proficiency in at least one of the following: Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL Strong knowledge of high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations Familiar with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Skilled in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, or Nagios Ability to write scripts in Shell, PowerShell, or Python for automation Experience with security protocols, data encryption, and user access controls Interested?
