Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > Construction Documentation Readiness The Program Management department ensures control, transparency, and accountability over the delivery of documentation that supports the deployment of wind turbines; manages cross-organisational dependencies; and enhances project management capabilities, tools, and execution standards through close collaboration with Documentation Departments, Product Platforms, Sales, Modules and Value Chain. We support the development of Value Chain Services (VCS) capabilities by implementing strategic and transformational initiatives that are aligned with business needs and the R&D strategy. Our work is closely connected to the Innovation, Concepts, Capability, and Excellence (IC2E) roadmap, helping to build long-term capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities Define and align documentation scope packages with product platforms, modules, value chain (global service, global construction and global transport), CPx (commercial project execution) and documentation leads in VCSOwn the B-level documentation plan, including milestones, training, IPC, translations, transport, construction, service documentation and OSOSCreate, maintain and communicate delivery timelines and milestones to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overarching platform project plansEstimate and manage resource and cost budgets in SAP PPM, including translation and documentation PM hoursIdentify and resolve scope, budget, and timeline gaps between baseline and module delivery plansOversee risk management and change control processes, escalating issues as neededRepresent documentation in platform-level reviews (PMRs, TRs) and report on progress, risks, and budgetHandover committed documentation plans to C-level for execution and ensure alignment across stakeholdersAct as a bridge and a collaborator in both vertical (level A- B- C) and horizontal dimensions (modules, value chain, VCS)Deliver customer projects in alignment with contractual obligations, including product responses, performance milestones, and sales-project deliverables Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, project management, business administration, technical communication, or a related fieldCertification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA)7 years of overall professional experience, with 3 - 5 years of experience in project management or a project environment, ideally in a technical, engineering, or product development environmentSolid experience in managing cross-functional projectsExperience working with global teams and managing distributed stakeholders Competencies Project & Portfolio Management: Effective project planning, coordination, and execution skills across cross-functional teamsStakeholder Engagement: Ability to align and communicate effectively with modules, the value chain, documentation leads, and platform leadership to meet business objectivesTool Proficiency: Experience with SAP PPM, JIRA, SharePoint, and documentation management systemsAnalytical Approach: Comfortable using dashboards and KPIs to track progress, identify gaps, and report to leadership and steercosProcess Governance: Understanding of lifecycle, change management, and quality assuranceCommunication & Facilitation: Effective skills in leading meetings, workshops, and cross-functional alignment sessionsEscalation & Governance: Capable of managing escalations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with governance frameworksRisk & Change Management: Committed to identifying risks, managing change requests, and adjusting plans to maintain delivery commitmentsStrategic Alignment: Ability to translate platform-level goals into actionable documentation plans and deliverables What we offer You will join a global team motivated to be a part of the climate change solution. Additional information This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal, and requires up to 10 travel days per year.
