Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competence center in Lisbon, the Portugal International Markets Hub (PIMH) to manage activities for several locations (Switzerland, Luxemburg, Germany, Monaco).

Wealth Management PIMH is looking to expand and it will do so in Porto. This is a very interesting opportunity to join the growing PIMH family as Head of KYC Office. Reporting lines will be following:
• Hierarchical Line to the Head of Portuguese International Markets Hub, based in Lisbon
• Functional Line to the Head of International Markets Operations Hub, based in Geneva

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide the Wealth Management internal clients with appropriate, reliable, flexible and cost efficient client management services, as agreed upon within the Service Level Agreements contracted with them.
• Contribute to protect BNPP against reputational, anti-money laundering, AML/CFT and fraud risks, and work closely with the Business to understand the clients and with Compliance to ensure it provides all Regulators requirements.
• Implement a consistent and sustained culture of improvement and foster the development of support services, for the sake of a high degree of productivity, process efficiency and execution quality.
• Organize and monitor the internal control setup for the PIMH KYC Office perimeter while respecting Group permanent control policies through an adequate governance, monitoring of granted delegations as well as developing and monitoring steering indicators (KPI, KRI, …).
• Contribute to the elaboration of the PIMH KYC Office budget and ensure its respect.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage, coach, develop and promote teams and individuals, on a day to day basis within the PIMH KYC Office perimeter, ensuring alignment of staff profiles with their positions' requirements and enabling them to achieve their professional objectives.
• Main management decisions for KYC Office staff: recruitment, objective setting, appraisals, compensation, training … in close cooperation with BNP Paribas Portugal HR.
• Ensure production supervision, manage workload allocation across his/her area and day-to-day service issues and priorities, and escalate issues if necessary.
• Ensure effective managerial communication.

PROFILE
• Master's degree in Finance, Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years within banking environment.
• At least 5 years of experience acting at executive level within an international and multicultural environment.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and Know Your Customer / AML processes, compliance rules and regulatory constraints.
• Understanding of legal and regulatory issues impacting the Wealth Management business.
• Ability to identify and effectively manage changes to structure, staff, processes and controls.
• Strong skills in building and managing large teams, creating shared vision, and motivating for results.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
• Fluent in English and French.
