Within the RISK Lisbon Hub, Enterprise Risk Architecture (ERA) aims at being a global risk management platform for the Bank, offering added value services: portfolio analysis, models/methodologies, stress-testing and systems development.


Within ERA, RISK ERA Systems is in charge of providing the bank with a comprehensive capital markets risk system used to support the credit process for Financial institutions, calculate market and counterparty risk capital figures using advanced method internal models validated by the regulator and to support the needs of users for risk analysis & risk reporting.
While the team already has a strong presence all around the world - London, Paris, Brussels, New-York, Hong-Kong, Mumbai - RISK ERA Systems is building a new team in Lisbon to support in particular its local users.

The team is already made of eight people focused primarily on developing Market Risk Solutions. In addition, the team is expected to grow, especially on the Operations side, to at least up to 12 in 2020.

In this context, we are looking for a manager to lead the team newly created in Lisbon.

• Directly oversee the RISK ERA Systems Lisbon platform • Be the representative of RISK ERA Systems Lisbon, both locally and globally
• Meet the objectives set by RISK ERA Systems & local management
• Ensure users satisfaction - in Lisbon and worldwide

• Manage a team of 12 people
- Ensure the mandatory training completion with the contribution of HR
- Recruit and lead cross-functional teams to meet business goals.
- Evaluate the performance of team members and determine training needs.
- Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence.

• Monitor and control expenses and budget

• Oversee the sound execution of the SLAs between the Lisbon platform and RISK Systems Management in the UK

• In particular, be able to showcase the success of the team in Lisbon with relevant KPIs
• Drive a focus on timeliness of delivery, quality of product, ownership of issues including resolution & proactive stakeholder engagement

• Develop process improvements to achieve cost effectiveness and time saving.

• Stimulate team's cooperation and transversal opportunities (e.g. mobility) within the RISK community

• Ensure a strong cooperation with other locations like London, Paris and Mumbai
• Support the overall RISK internationalization strategy and work closely with local, regional and central stakeholders

• Develop and implement related controls and procedures in conjunction with RISK Streams as required

• Identify gaps and develop corrective plans.

• Education: Master degree in Finance / IT / Mathematics.
• Essential experience/skills:
- A minimum of 5 Years in a risk Capital Market department
- Track record in managing an operational team in Financial Services
- Knowledge of the BNP Paribas Group appreciated
- Structured approach to addressing or resolving issue s
-Sound understanding of at least one risk discipline (Market or Counterpart).
- Proven BA & IT experience.
- Understanding and experience of working with IT systems, coupled with an ability and curiosity to understand key aspects of IT development and IT Operations.

- Personal impact/Ability to influence

• Languages:
- English essential and used for documentation.
- Portuguese appreciated
- French appreciated.
