This role is part of a significant investment in strengthen the Decision Intelligence capability in the EU business, through a continuous development and maintenance of the Data Warehouse, expanding our use of Data Science & Machine learning solutions, developing new dashboards and fostering the adoption of these tools by the business users, promoting efficiencies and generating added value.As a Data Scientist working for BCA, you'll be responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of our machine learning data products in the EU using our best-in-class framework.
Furthermore, from starting with simple proofs of concept through to model refinement and deployment you'll be involved in the development of new data products for the EU business.The ideal candidate will have experience of statistical learning approaches e.G regression, tree-based approaches, time-series methods, clustering, etc, and will be innovative in model development and naturally curious, willing to try new approaches.Solutions will be built using BCA's best of breed Data Science solution (Python, SQL Server, Git, Databricks, MLflow, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Lake, Azure DevOps Services and Azure Kubernetes Services).
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the on-going accuracy of BCA's valuation models through the development of predictive models and machine learning approaches, experimenting with new ideas to further enhance our BCA Valuation product-set.Utilise models to provide pricing intelligence to key stakeholders ensuring the direction of the market in each country is understood.Explain the implications of models and model insights to business stakeholders and external customers in an easy-to-understand way.Be able to identify and suggest new opportunities where the Data Science Team can add value to the BCA EU business.Key SkillsExperience of using a statistical language to build data products, preferably Python or R.An added advantage is experience with a well-rounded stack of data science libraries, such as NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Statsmodels, and XGBoost, to effectively clean, preprocess, transform, model, and visualize datasets.Experience in object-oriented programming and package building is valued.Knowledge of a machine learning approaches to model data (supervised/unsupervised analysis).
