Position Overview:
We are seeking an expert-level Data Engineer with over 7 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the ingestion and curation of new data sources into Snowflake for a leading multinational corporation. This hands-on role involves being an active part of the development team, focusing on coding, and developing data pipelines in DBT & Streamsets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data pipelines in DBT & Streamsets.Collaborate closely with the technical product management team to ensure work aligns with best development practices.Document and review technical specification documentation according to the company's established standards.Guide and mentor junior & offshore data engineers in their development work.Review the delivered quality of other data engineers' work.Take over temporary leadership responsibilities when internal managers are on holiday. Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.Multiple years of experience and deep knowledge in building DBT data pipelines in Snowflake, with orchestration using Airflow.A fast learner capable of working independently in a demanding environment;
must accept that a developer might not always fully understand the data they are working with.Natural leadership abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a global team and understand how to manage a team of local and offshore developers.Experience working with productivity tools such as JIRA and Confluence.Impeccable professional proficiency in English. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior exposure to work within a major pharmaceutical organization and/or a heavily regulated environment.A degree in any pharmaceutical or life sciences field.
