The team is responsible for developing products that support both the B2B and B2C aspects of the business, and collaborates closely with product, sales, marketing, and data analytics departments.
As a backend engineer, you will contribute to the development of features for web, iOS, and Android apps, as well as data-driven products and services.
Your tasks: Work with team members and the product team to come up with ideas, develop new product features and support existing features in a diverse, international, and cross-functional set-up.
Live the complete development cycle, including ideation, task breakdown, coding, writing tests, code reviewing, testing and performing deployments; Create, maintain and improve applications using efficient, reusable, and reliable object-oriented ruby code; Create, maintain and improve scala applications that support data-driven features and services; Use own expertise to assist the team in creating exceptional product features that align best with the company's architectural guidelines.
Your skills: Experience working within agile methodologies and devops set-ups; Great programming skills in ruby and scala; Know how on developing applications using messaging as kafka/rabbit MQ and MySQL and NoSQL databases; Good SQL skills; Fluent in English.
