Compliance function is asecond level control function of the BNP Paribas Group. It is an independent and hierarchically integrated function including all compliance teams within the BNP Paribas Group. The Compliance function gives a reasonable assurance to the "Dirigeants Effectifs" and the Board of Directors that compliance risks are monitored, controlled and mitigated as relevant in the Group. The Compliance Function, as a second line of defence, ensures that the Group remains compliant with laws and regulations as well as internal rules and standards as defined by the "Dirigeants Effectifs" and the Board Directors.
Compliance oversees 3500 employees in 57 countries.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources mains areas of responsibility include staffing, career management, rewards and learning and development
Support The Compliance Executive Committee in ensuring the Compliance staff is equipped with the right set of skills and adequately sized to enforce the respect of regulatory and Group's obligations regarding Compliance.
Ensure the development of a strong Compliance culture and is actively involved in driving the change required within the Compliance Function, notably through the design of Learning and Development initiatives for the whole Group.
Work in close cooperation with the central Compliance Domains, COO and the Heads of Operational Perimeters/Regions to ensure consistency of decisions and operating model
Compliance Human Resources Learning & Development team objectives is to:
Ensure quality and consistency of Compliance training offer across the Group (for more than 200 000 employees)
Ensure coverage of all critical Compliance training needs for each population segment (exhaustiveness of the offer)
Be efficient in training offer design and roll-out
Pool training creation expertise
Clearly allocate responsibilities between all stakeholders within a systematic process
Be able to report on training impact
Monitor employees' participation and test knowledge acquisition - in particular, for regulatory purposes and rating agencies
The BNP Paribas CIB London Compliance Department performs a number of roles including:
Supporting and Assisting senior management in adherence to applicable laws and regulations and to maintain high standards of business and ethical integrity
Interpreting and Advising staff on applicable laws, regulations and standards
Providing Training to staff on a number of relevant laws, regulations and standards
Monitoring and Reporting on staff compliance with laws, regulations and standards
Investigating and Reporting on suspected breaches of such laws, regulations and standards
Acting as BNP Paribas' Point of Contact with regulators and exchanges of which the bank is a member
The learning and Development Support Lisbon team is a key component of the Compliance training.
Activities of the L&D team include:
Logistic organization of L&D Seminars across the group
Assignment and support for L&D e-learnings (Dashboard, My learning set-up…)
Reporting and support for L&D e-learnings (Dashboard PPT and Excel)
Systems administration & cleaning (MyDev…)
Contact with learning providers regarding the organisation of the training sessions
F2F training organization (events creating, logistics, attendance, list of participant's, material, accommodation…)
Feedback reporting, quiz and statistics
Uploaded & assignments of e-learnings in My Development tool
Support Level 1 (generic mailbox management)
Take part in the continuous process improvement
Experience in managing projects with consistent quality
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, outlook, lotus etc.) package advanced level
Skilled relationship builder - ability to work with different stakeholders
Good communication skills - oral & written
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under defined time frames
Strong Team Spirit
Client focused and results oriented
Attention to detail/rigor
Proficient in English (required), intermediate in French and Portuguese (desirable)
Knowledge in HR or Organizational Phycology (preferably)
